VENOM-1000
Nitrous System - This computer-controlled dry nitrous kit
is the safest "plug-and-play" nitrous system money can
buy. The VENOM-1000 will automatically shut itself off if it detects
that the engine is running too lean (preventing engine damage).
This nitrous system adds 100 horsepower on demand and automatically
regulates the air-fuel ratio by pulsing the fuel injectors when
nitrous is being administered. I chose to do a "stealthy install"
hiding all hoses and wires, using plastic wire loom covering, mounting
the solinoids in
a semi-hidden location next to the battery, hiding the computer
module in the glovebox, hiding the bottle
in the spare tire compartment, and installing all switches
inside the ash tray compartment. I also installed the nozzle
in the airbox so that the MAF sensors would be utilized to yield
a better Air-Fuel Ratio. Great care was taken during the entire
process for a secure and stealthy install. (Back

NOS Remote Bottle
Opener was installed with the VENOM nitrous kit so that
the nitrous bottle can be easily opened and closed by pressing a
button from the
driver's seat. This way, I do not have to open the trunk in order
to open the bottle valve by hand before each nitrous use. Additionally,
this bottle opener/closer enables me to shut off the flow of nitrous
to the engine in the rare occasion that a solinoid malfunctions
and does not close. (Back to Top)
NOS Nitrous Filter
was installed to prevent foreign debris from getting clogged in
the solinoids. (Back to Top)
NOS Purge Kit
was installed and set up so that the purge is vented out of dual
outlets located inside the nostrils of the Ram Air hood. During
a purge, dual streams of nitrous are shot outside the front of the
hood in a "V" pattern. The purpose of this purge kit is
to expell the residual air that is present inside the nitrous lines
before a nitrous run. Additionaly, after the bottle is shut off,
the pressure that still exists in the lines can be released so that
stress does not remain on the solinoids. (Back

NX Automatic Bottle
Heater was installed so that the nitrous bottle can be heated
up to achieve the optimal operating pressure. This heater system
is pressure controlled so that it automatically turns on when neccessary
to heat the bottle up to 950-1050 psi for the best nitrous results.

Custom Nitrous Switch
Panel was installed under the ash tray lid for a stealthy
"mission-control" look and easy accessibility. This switch
panel was custom designed by a friend and built out of black ABS
plastic to fit the ash-tray area of late model F-bodies. Custom
switches were added (including the VENOM switch display) for
a complete install. (Back to Top)
GM WS6 Ram-Air Induction
airbox assembly was installed to improve airflow and increase engine
power output to that of the WS6 Ram-Air option package.

SLP Ram-Air H.O. Hood
was installed to make Ram-Air fully functional. (Back

Removed Baffles
from the Ram-Air hood "nostrils" to improve air flow and
increase horsepower by getting rid of the restrictive fiberglass
plate. Cold outside air is now rammed directly into the airbox/filter
with no restriction. Baffles were removed with a dremel tool (and
sanded) prior to painting the hood. Airflow has DRASTICALLY improved!
The flow rate was tested before and after the mod using a high-powered
air compressor. (Back to Top)
Direct-Flo Airbox Lid
by LS1 Motorsports was installed, replacing the restrictive factory
air lid and air silencers in order to further improve airflow to
the engine. (Back to Top)
K&N Filtercharger (high-flow air filter) was installed increasing
the flow rate over the stock air filter. (Back

BMR Shock Tower Brace
was installed to stiffen up the front end and to eliminate tower
deflection under increased load. (Back

Borla Stainless Steel Exhaust
System was installed by "Bodie's" who performs
exhaust work for the world famous racing engineer, John Lingenfelter
in Decatur, Indiana. This aircraft-grade T-304 "corrosive-free"
stainless steel system is the best exhaust money can buy, offering
a million-mile warranty, extremely low-restriction flow rate, and
a macho sound to match. This system also includes a "tunable
volume control" via bolt-in restriction plates, of which I
have completely removed resulting in uninhibited exhaust flow and
a guttural sound that can wake the dead! (CLICK
HERE to hear Borla!) (Back

Suncoast Creations "Chrome" Decals have been installed
for aesthetic purposes, specifically to accent the embossed "Trans
Am" logo on the doors, the "firebird"
logo on the front license plate cover, and the "Ram
Air" logos on the hood. Additionally, a GM WS6
Rear Emblem was added to signify the addition of the WS6 Ram
Air System. I have also added the "Last
of the Breed" emblem on the nose of the car to signify
my vehicle as being built in in the final production year of 2002.
Additionally, I added a chrome windshield
banner, chrome VENOM decals
to the rear fenders, and a VENOM
decal on the Airbox Lid. (Back

Passport Escort 8500 Radar/Laser
Detector w/ SmartCord has been installed. This high-quality
"ticket preventer" is the most accurate detector on the
market, and has been proven to alert the driver ahead of all other
radar detectors currently available. This unit is a bit on the pricey
side, but you get what you pay for... and when you're driving a
"cop magnet," you can't cheap out!
